My works are usually very optimistic, but in this work I found myself creating something with a darker expression. The lights and objects seems to be situated in a forgotten place - left by some alien force. I find myself strangely drawn to this composition - by the strangeness and familiarity alike, and it reminds me of a quote by one of my favourite writers, Antoine de Saint-Exupéry: "Here I possessed nothing in the world. I was no more than a mortal strayed between sand and stars, conscious of the single blessing of breathing. And yet I discovered myself filled with dreams."
